Our Journey
Welcome! We are Natalie & Michael, the co-founders of Springtime Education. Our journey is rooted in a deeply personal and passionate commitment to fostering inclusive education. We believe that every individual, regardless of their challenges, deserves the opportunity to learn, communicate, and thrive.
Our story began in 2022 with a heartfelt revelation. Friends of ours were embarking on a journey to learn Auslan (Australian Sign Language) alongside their non-verbal son. They shared a profound insight - that the simple act of making an effort to understand and communicate with those facing communication challenges could make an immense difference in their lives.
Driven by this as our insiration, we set out on a mission to bridge the communication gap for Auslan users, making it easier for people to engage and connect. As a graphic designer, I (Natalie) harnessed my design skills to begin creating resources that would not only educate but also captivate.
We knew that for our mission to succeed, we needed to involve the very people we aimed to serve. We're committed to consulting with the Deaf community across Australia and native Auslan users to ensure that we are creating resources that are not only accurate but also culturally and linguistically appropriate.
The same dedication and consultation process extend to our American Sign Language (ASL) resources, ensuring that we serve the needs of both the Australian and American communities.
The Power of Inclusivity
Our sign language flash cards have been hailed for its accuracy and celebrated for its inclusive design. We take pride in representing a diverse array of individuals in our resources, ensuring that everyone, regardless of their background, is reflected in the learning materials.
NDIS Support
The National Disability Incentive Scheme (NDIS) has been instrumental in helping us make our resources more accessible to people with disabilities in Australia. All of our products can be purchased or reimbursed by your NDIS care provider.
Looking Forward
Looking forward, we aspire to expand our commitment to inclusive education beyond sign language. Our vision includes creating resources that cater to individuals with various disabilities, including blindness, autism, and emotional dysfunctions.
